My name is Jerome Tissieres, and I live in Switzerland, Europe. Welcome to my blog!

Jerome Tissieres

With three decades of experience in IT & network engineering, my expertise spans the entire lifecycle: from designing, planning, and building state-of-the-art computer networks to operating and optimizing them for maximum availability, scalability, and performance.

I have successfully led both focused network engineering teams and large cross-functional groups managing entire IT infrastructures. This includes hands-on management of complex IT projects, overseeing all aspects of planning, budgeting, execution, and resource allocation.

I have also been selected for six years as a member of the Cisco Champion program. A group of highly influential technical experts who enjoy sharing their knowledge, expertise, and thoughts across the social web and with Cisco.

In this technical blog, I try to cover a wide range of networking hardware, systems, and vendors, including Cisco, Meraki, Huawei, and NVIDIA (formerly Mellanox & Cumulus). I’m also interested in the details of the different software for network planning, design, operation, troubleshooting, and automation. In addition, I leverage my own learning experiences in the fields of network engineering, automation, a bit of software development, and the different cloud solutions. More recently, I’ve also been writing my thoughts and advice on various aspects of the career of a network engineer and technical leader.
